1. Closing Surplus as at 30-Jun-06 was Aus$63,302 represented by Cash At Bank of the same amount.

2. 05-06 Result was a surplus of Aus$2,003 with donation income matching expenses. The surplus was mainly due to exchange gain resulting form the strength of the Aus $ during the year.

3. Caring expenses increased over the 7 years period from 00-09 to 05-06 as a result of the gradual deteriation of Fr. Deane's health leading to an increase in the number of hours of personal caring aids required to maintain and manage Fr.'s condition.

4. Administrative expenses included mainly trust setup fee, audit fee, annual return fee, website fee & bank charges.

5. Exchange Gain/(Loss) was due to fluctuation of Aus$ vs. HK$ (as majority of donation was received in HK$) and Aus$ vs. Euro$ (as majority of expenses was incurred in Euro$).

6. Based on 05-06 expenses level, the cash balance as of 30-Jun-06 will support 12 to 18 months of spending into the future.

7. Donation appeal should continue in order to maintain the funding for the continuous provision of extra personal care to Fr. Deane into the foreseeable future.
