I arrived here on Tuesday 7 Oct. Fr is not as bright this time. I have been here 5 days, and there are only 2 days that he is bright and cheerful. He is not allowed to walk nor stand. A couple of weeks before I arrived, he was not even allowed to stand. The head nurse convinced the administration to allow Father to use the standing machine (with a little help from Father who stood well when he was assessed). This new standing machine was available in the other unit and Father can only use it if nobody was using it there. Last Thursday, the home ordered one such machine for the unit Father was residing and will be delivered next week.
Fr Foster came to visit yesterday. He just came back from his US, Canada trip. He gave me a big hug. I told him about the problem of Father Deane's walking and standing and he said he would find out more.
Helen is on leave and I am taking over her job. It is a tough job and I get very tired when the day is over. Will keep you all posted.
