Hope you are keeping well – I guess you've noticed that Fr Pat has not been very sensible lately when you have been talking to him on the telephone. On Tuesday, when you tried to call him, he was out to lunch with us and we found it very difficult to get any proper conversation from him. He was also in a sort of "bold child" difficult mood and would not answer or do anything we suggested. He did eat a good meal, at least. He does need you around for a while to get him going again.
We believe that he is going out this weekend to a mass and party for his brother Tim's 50th year in the Brother's, so there will probably be a family reunion of sorts.
When I confirmed your dates with Mr Bourke I told him that I would not be here when you arrived, so he said that he would meet you at the airport, if you let him know when you are arriving – you can fax the details to me.
