Further to our phone conversation this afternoon Sydney time, I forward the following note to accompany Theresa's info sheet.
I have known Theresa for quite some time now. I am quite amazed at her effort and her personal involvement in Fr Deane's case. She had been subjected, on numerous occasions, to various forms of harrassment,......
On the whole, I am quite ashamed and disgusted at the way Fr Deane was shunted to somewhere out of touch with his friends.
The time has come to do something about it now and there is no time to be wasted! If it drags on for any length of time, I am not sure whether Fr Deane will be able to make the transfer after all.
Theresa has kept me informed all the way with the details of what was happening to Father. From my own observation, I have no doubt that all that she was relating to you was true. Unfortunately every player has his or her agenda – not necessarily with the welfare of Father at heart. It is not a matter of taking sides. We must focus on the main game – i.e. to settle Father in a comfortable situation at the twilight of his remaining life.
After numerous discussion with Theresa and others, I believe that the best course of action is go through you and SLOBA in Canada.
I hope, after going through all the relevant information available, you will see your way clear to make some important decisions to that end.

On a lighter note, are you still keeping up with some singing? I certainly am. I hope some time in future we can get togethre to catch up on some the nice memories we had over the years with our singing!!
