In response to the concerns raised in Peter Ko's report of his meeting with Fr Peter Ho on 27 Mar 2000 in Hong Kong

The Trustee, Fr Deane Foundation Fund Trust

It has always been the Trust's belief, as stated in the Father Deane Foundation Fund Trust website http://www.deanetrust.org that:

1. Father Deane has been well taken care of by the Salesian Society. It is an example of the unfailing and continual care extended by the Salesian Society to all retired priests and is recognised by all Old Boys.
2. The Trust acts as a vehicle to channel efforts from all who are interested in the welfare of Father Deane to express their gratitude.
3. The Trust website has and will continue to post in the public domain all the actions taken in relation to the well being of Father Deane and news . It should be apparent from our report that all such efforts made were all of goodwill and friendly nature.
4. Since Fr Deane's retirement to Dublin in 1997, some of the present board members of the Trustee have from time to time contacted and discussed with Fr Foster on matters relating to the  enhancement of Fr Deane's care. Although there were occasional differences in opinion, the Trustee enjoys an amicable relationship with Fr Foster. Above all we are guided by our faith in what we have been taught: to love and help one another - be it a classmate, a teacher or a friend.
