Dear Theresa,
Today I went to see Fr Pat and get there just as they were sitting down to dinner at 12 o'clock. Although I had ploned to say I was taking him out for lunch they had Pat sitting at his table. ........ They made a bit of a fuss about moving his chair and getting his coat etc but Pat was sort of annoyed with them and did not want to co-operate. So in the end I did not take him out and he was very happy to go back to his place and have his lunch there.
Helen came after lunch at 1 o'clock and took Fr Pat off with one of the "nurses" to change him and then she walked him from his room throgh to the large front room and back, letting him rest whenever he wanted to stop. She seems quite good with him and he responds to her well. He has quite a few Christmas cards in his room from Chinese friends. Perhaps it should be put on the Internet that Father appreciates the cards and good wishes but cannot send replies or cards himself.
I went to the bank and told the girl there that we were not at all happy with their services! Anyway she gave me a copy of the reply they got from their legal advisors (2 pages) together with a copy of another version of "Application for Opening Account" and draft "copy resolution" (2 pages) and draft "Legal Opinion" (4 pages) - Copies of all sent herewith.
The Bank suggested that if we did not want to go to the trouble and expense of getting these legal documents completed we could open an account as a "society or club", so they showed an application form for this (copy sent herewith) or you could just open a separate "Fr Deane" account yourself.
I am sending also copies of the last Brid Neary account paid. We did not yet get the final bill even though we reminded here to submit it. I also send a copy of the bill for the telephone - Do you want the originals of all the bills forwarded to you now or will you collect them when you are here next?
Best Wishes from Chris and I ...
With Love
Bosco
