I received a postcard from Fr Deane. He obviously did not complain although I understand pretty well his condition and situation.
I have talked to C.C.Lee and he is more than willing to support him financially if he decides to return to Hong Kong and stay there, not in St Louis, but in any other Chinese run nursing home. I also wrote to Fr Foster and asked him to talk to Fr Deane about this. Fr Foster sent a card but did not mention about this at all.
I will call a committee meeting in 2 weeks and will discuss about this and see what we can do.
I am sure his problem is 40% physical and 60% psychological. The solution is really more out of Ireland, either to Hong Kong or Australia. Canada is also a choice but I think the climate is not good enough for him except in Vancouver.
Any comments?
