The nursing home that Father Deane is staying at the moment has a lot of facilities including ensuite and as such is quite suitable if a single room can be made available. It is not going to be easy without the Irish Provincial's assistance to find an alternative accomodation.
Father is supposed on a priority listing for a single room in the Nursing Home. What is needed is someone with authority to push it along with a bit of urgency. With this in mind, I think that SLOBA can make an official request to the Irish Provincial for assistance, noting that the Old Boys are concerned about Father's well being that you all want him to have the best nursing care available. ........
I think if the Irish Provincial know of Father's good work in Hong Kong and that he still commands respect, care and love by so many past students, they would show more concern for his welfare.
I am sure lots of old boys benefited from Father Deane's unique style of writing letters of recommendation in securing job positions and university places. He now needs your help in your recommendation to the Irish Provincial.
